This four night package serves as a perfect introduction to landscape and wildlife of the KwaZulu region, as well as the rich cultural and culinary heritage.
On one day you’ll visit the Tala wildlife sanctuary. A qualified game ranger will take you in an open viewing vehicle on an unforgettable 2 hour wildlife drive though a fascinating variety of different landscapes that are home to over 380 bird species, plus rhino, kudu, hippo, giraffe and the rare sable antelope.
On another day there’s a complimentary trip to Shakaland, with a guided tour of a traditional village in the Entembeni hills. You’ll gain a fascinating insight into the Zulu rituals and way of life, with much traditional singing and dancing, plus meet an Isangoma, a native healer.
On one of these days you’ll sample the delights of Bunny Chow, the traditional street food popular with the locals. “Bunnies” consist of a hollowed out loaf filled with a curry – you eat them out of your hand there’s a bewildering choice of deliciously spicy fillings.
