Red Carnation, announces its newest hotel, The Oyster Box in Umhlanga Rocks near Durban in South Africa, has earned two awards by the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine in the 2010 Hot List for ‘Hot Hotel’ and ‘Hot Spa.’
“From the first day we bought the Oyster Box it was obvious the important role that this property played in so many people’s lives,” says designer Toni Tollman, who together with her mother Bea Tollman, created the interiors of the new Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban.

The Oyster Box’s award-winning executive chef, Kevin Joseph, the current chairman of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), was awarded a Blazon in recognition of an outstanding meal, following the monthly Chaine meeting held at The Oyster Box last week.
