The threat posed by climate change and the need to preserve natural resources are some of the most important issues facing us today. At Oyster Box, we are keenly aware of our responsibility to confront these problems head-on, and have instituted a Green Team to investigate and implement the ways we can contribute to this global process.
We are committed to our community and dedicated to social responsibility. Supporting local charities, conservation, preservation, nature, heritage and green initiatives including the personal development of each member of the Red Carnation team, is at the heart of everything we do.
For every bucket of rubbish collected from the beach by hotel residents, we offer a complimentary drink in the bar. Buckets are supplied by the hotel and once returned to reception, they are redeemed for a voucher enabling you to enjoy a beverage as a ‘thank you’ for helping us with our efforts.
Rhinos Without Borders
For each key card returned to reception, we make a donation of R1.000 to Rhinos Without Borders. We are so proud to support this charity, whose mission is to move rhinos from poaching hotspots in South Africa to safety in Botswana.
The Last Straw
Did you know that the world uses over 500 million straws a day? Plastic straws are one of many types of plastic polluting our earth and harming our wildlife. We are passionate about eradicating single use plastics. The campaign strives to educate the public about its effects on our health and our environment.
Pack for a Purpose
