JUNE

Book your Private Wine Cellar Dinner

For a more intimate dining experience, the Wine Cellar, with its glass ceiling, is sunken just below the Oyster Bar and is unique for dinner parties, corporate functions, tastings or special events. 

Bespoke menus are created for every occasion and the resident Sommelier will present a selection of wines from the Diners Club Diamond award-winning wine list, which boasts the finest selection of South African and international vintages.

Time: 18h00 - 22h30 | Maximum 10 guests

Price: Venue hire - R 4 000 | R 590 per person, up to 10 guests

Enjoy a Lighthouse Lager with Curry

Made in conjunction with “That Brewing Company” who are currently making five distinct craft brews for the local market. 

The Lighthouse Lager is a craft style lager made by master brewer, Paul Ten Hoorn Boer, along with The Oyster Box Hotel's Executive Chef, Kevin Joseph. Specifically designed as an easy drinking lager for hot Durban days, it is served alongside our delicious signature curry buffet. 

Time: Lunch: 12:00 - 15:00 | Dinner: 18:00 - 22:30

Venue: Ocean Terrace Restaurant

Price: R 390 per person | At least 11 curries daily, includes meat, fish and vegetarian options

Curry & Comedy

Our Executive Chef Kevin Joseph and his team will prepare a delicious curry, while you sit back and enjoy the show. From the delicate flavours of the Singapore Fish Curry, to a spicy, Lamb Vindaloo and smooth-textured Butter Chicken accompanied by fresh, home-made condiments - a night full of laughter not to be missed!

A Teenage High Tea

Join us in celebrating National Youth Day in style.

We will be hosting a special High Tea for all the youthful teenagers (aged between 13 -19), this Youth Day, with delicious mini burgers, hot dogs and sweet treats. Stand a chance of winning a voucher to Gateway Entertainment Centre.

A Gentleman's Tea

Join us in celebrating Father's Day in true sophistication.

Treat your Dad or Grandfather with a Gentleman’s Tea. More savoury then sweet, swopping dainty cucumber sandwiches for pork pies, beef sliders, scotch eggs and whisky truffles. Whisky tasting will accompany your Tea and you could stand a chance of winning a bottle of whisky.

Moët Food & Wine Dinner

Enjoy a six course plated menu in the company of the House of Moët, with each course accompanied by a Champagne within the Moët portfolio. 

A Moët representative will be on hand to talk through each pairing. A truly special occasion full of bubbles not to be missed!
