Book your Private Wine Cellar Dinner

For a more intimate dining experience, the Wine Cellar, with its glass ceiling, is sunken just below the Oyster Bar and is unique for dinner parties, corporate functions, tastings or special events. 

Bespoke menus are created for every occasion and the resident Sommelier will present a selection of wines from the Diners Club Diamond award-winning wine list, which boasts the finest selection of South African and international vintages.

Time: 18h00 - 22h30 | Maximum 10 guests

Enjoy a Lighthouse Lager with Curry

Made in conjunction with “That Brewing Company” who are currently making five distinct craft brews for the local market. 

The Lighthouse Lager is a craft style lager made by master brewer, Paul Ten Hoorn Boer, along with The Oyster Box Hotel's Executive Chef, Kevin Joseph. Specifically designed as an easy drinking lager for hot Durban days, it is served alongside our delicious signature curry buffet.

Skabenga's Chocolate Factory High Tea

A weekend of delicious whacky wonder! 

Skabenga our resident cat, welcomes you to an oompa-loompa tea-time extravaganza, in the magical world of Willy Wonka - the world’s most lovable candy-man. Delectable sweets and treats, psyche-licious cakes and fountains of bubbling chocolate are yours to enjoy for the entire weekend.

Calling all foodie's - if you're looking for something out of the ordinary for an event or occasion, then there's nowhere better than front row seats at the Chef's Table.  

Starting at the Oyster Bar you will enjoy Champagne and canapés, before you move to the kitchen for a ‘behind the scenes’ tour with Chef Kevin Joseph and his talented team. Be part of the action, as the chefs prepare a delicious five-course menu for you to enjoy.
